Why Altona Carpark Line Marking?
A business park in Altona North needed their shared carpark reorganised with additional bays. Multiple tenants were competing for limited parking, and the original layout from the 1990s wasted space with oversized bays and inefficient aisle widths.
We surveyed the carpark and identified opportunities to modernise the layout. By adjusting bay dimensions to current Australian standards and reconfiguring traffic flow to a one-way system, we created space for 12 additional bays without expanding the asphalt footprint.
The project involved high-pressure water blasting to remove old markings, surface preparation, and fresh line marking throughout. We added clearly numbered bays for tenant allocation, visitor parking near the main entrance, accessible bays compliant with AS/NZS 2890.6, and directional arrows supporting the new one-way flow.
Work was completed over two nights to minimise disruption to business operations. Tenants returned Monday to a transformed carpark with reduced congestion and allocated spaces.
